Volunteer Membership
Lovelady Fire & Rescue is continually looking for applicants to fill volunteer roles in the department. Applicants must live within 1.5 miles of Lovelady's fire district and be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Ages 14-18 are eligible to apply for junior membership.
There is no experience required to become a volunteer, but applicants should have the desire to serve their community and be committed to responding to calls and training as their time allows. All members must have a minimum of 36 hours of fire training per year. Although not a large amount, members are compensated by a small stipend for each response and training session they attend.
