Special Notice: Board of Directors Annual Meeting
Lovelady Fire & Rescue Department will hold an annual meeting on June 2nd, 2025. This meeting will take place at Station 1 at 748 Malcolm Blvd. Per Lovelady Fire & Rescue Bylaws, a person who is interested in serving as a director must submit an application to the fire department Board of Directors at least 30 days and no more than 60 days prior to the meeting. The application can be found by clicking here. Applicants may drop the completed application off at the fire department or email it to applications@loveladyfirerescue.com.
Lovelady Fire & Rescue has a long history of helping Rutherford College and the surrounding communities. The department holds an ISO class 5/9 rating and operates from two different stations.
The department began with all volunteers in 1958 and has continued to grow. Currently, Lovelady Fire & Rescue is staffed Monday-Friday during the day with part-time personnel. We continue to have a roster full of volunteers that we rely on to serve our community and are always looking for new dedicated members.
The department responds to approximately 700 calls per year including medical, fire, and rescue calls. Members meet for training on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

No, due to various reasons we cannot fill swimming pools.
